I swam over the trench. It was a dare ya thing when i was living in Guam. I honestly couldnt tell i was swimming over the biggest canyon on earth, but the water did seem colder than i expected when i dove in head first.

Soooo… unless you’ll still be around in half a billion years or so, there’s nothing to worry about! Cool.

Fascinating video. I luv the slow and deliberate pace, outstanding diction, patient explanations and the way you give all the researchers their credits. I learned a lot of new, interesting things today which explains what we are witnessing in current geological events around the globe. Thank you, new sub.

Fascinating presentation. It seemed to me that a bit too much of the unfamiliar terms and concepts were left unexplained for the non-specialist viewer, but nevertheless, the general arc of the message was fairly clear. It would be nice to have a video going over the basic concepts that non-specialists are unlikely to know, or an expanded version of the present video, "for dummies", so to speak.

Interestingly olivine is the gemstone as tiny beads that make the green sand beach on the big island, Hawaii. The olivine is mixed with the ash from the ancient eruption. The waves carry the ash away and leave the olivine leaving a green tinted beach.

Very very interesting and fascinating research; something has been going on for hundreds of millions or long years for sure. Just needs to find more details, perhaps supported by data as already been collected. There should be a special prize for scientists who are engaging in earth crust, geology, research. 🎉

Thank you for this video. It it describes in so much detail what is going on beneath the world we live in.
Our education system only gives us the most basic information and presents it as a static situation.
Nothing in the universe is stable😅😅😅😅😅😅
