  the last part of the ball challenge is what everyone hates. It can be really janky maneuvering the ball on that platform to get it where it needs to go. Everything else is just timing except that one final hurdle.

  Between this, Cosmic Shake, and Titans of the Tide, I have become such a sucker for these SpongeBob games. They're just good, innocent fun that doesn't really expect me to use my brain too much. I was about 15 when I first played BFBB, so I know I don't have nostalgia for any of these. Yet they still FEEL nastalgic somehow.

  It took me YEARS to get to kelp caves as a kid. Then when I finally got to the end of Kelp Forest I broke my controller doing Mermaid man’s slide. I thought I was out of the woods.

  And here I am, the wild card Kep Forest-enjoyer, I love the atmosphere and music a ton, and getting lost in a forest, well, felt right to me

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fgr6p7eNGzk&amp;t=1871">31:11</a> the reason these duplicato-trons are the only ones with shields is because in the original, it was super easy to cheese this level by falling onto a floating tiki hiding just beside the start, then use the cruise bubble to take&apos;em all out. now, you&apos;re forced to actually interact with the level as intended as the shield regenerates before the second cruise bubble hits the machine

  Not really game breaking, but the Goo Lagoon lifeguard tower puzzle is slightly different in the remaster, having you utilize all the towers instead of one being a red herring.

  I hate Kelp Forest. Notably, Kelp Caves. Just a mid level, especially that Mr. Krabs stone tiki puzzle.

  My tier list is:<br>1. Goo Lagoon<br>2. Spongebob’s Dream<br>3. Sand Mountain<br>4. Jellyfish Fields<br>5. Rock Bottom<br>6. Flying Dutchman’s Graveyard<br>7. Downtown Bikini Bottom<br>8. Mermalair<br>9. Kelp Forest<br>because my first experience with BfBB was on the nintendo switch, and while I don’t remember that original experience all too well, I did revisit it and THEY DID NOT OPTIMIZE KELP FOREST AT ALL!!! Also, I had such a hard time with the rolling ball puzzle that I didn’t have on my recent Steam playthrough but it was still just as tedious. Back to kelp forest, that one REALLY showed how bad the switching characters mechanic could be, which they tried to remedy in Cosmic Shake and actually made better in Titans of the Tide (at least as far as the demo revealed; haven’t played the full game yet). <br><br>I had one more somewhat substantial gripe; this time about Sand Mountain. I really disliked that I had to pay attention to a hole in the wall for one of the socks. I’m glad it wasn’t hiding a spatula, but it wasn’t super clear considering there was a much more obvious “snow”man challenge and a Sandy parkour challenge, the latter of which was right before the hole in the mountain.
