One of the best romance films ever. Jim Carrey deserved an Oscar nomination for this role (as well as nominations for The Truman Show and Man on the Moon).

The way their actual personalities are the opposite from what we see them play in the movie has me giggling

A crumbling relationship is like a dusty book, if you can just see past the dirt and grime on the surface you'd find out that it's still the same book you've always loved.

This movie fucked me up in a good way. Meeting my clementine and feeling these same ways. Truly such a masterpiece. My all time favorite.

More relevant now in the post-COVID Facebook era of dating that it was 20 years ago

This movie is a masterpiece, i saw it at the cinema premiere here in germany back in time. I was so flashed and overwhelmed after this experience. Love this movie.

Great romance film classic.  Took me a while to get used to Jim Carey playing a straight character; which he did - beautifully.

Having watched this film on the date of release, so much respect for what the meaning of love was at the time. To be in my 20s right out of my teens. This resonated a lot more in the long run.

There’s no better way of knowing that someone didn’t pay enough attention to this film than when they say things like: “they’re just gonna keep repeating the process in an endless loop!”
