Not so fun fact: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfvmLFbwH0w&t=1840">30:40</a> is when Joel's sister was calling him to let him know that his older sister had just passed away. He said so in a tweet he had made later that day. He mentioned just 5 minutes prior at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfvmLFbwH0w&t=1540">25:40</a> that she was near the end of her earthly walk. This must have been a difficult message for him to preach on, considering how his mind must have been in two places at once; however, it makes it all the more special, in a sense, that Christ's mediation gives him great comfort despite the present circumstances. May we all be reminded of the comfort of this doctrine as we face difficulties alike.

I agree with many aspects of Reformed theology, but I see a glaring blind spot, especially in this view of eschatology - the creation of theology based on rejection of "escapism" or some forms of eschatology that appears too outlandish. However, much of the "not yet" in Scripture is about Christ's victory through the evil age completing its reign of evil - so why would it be outlandish if there was a literal millennium? Why would we see trouble coming in the end and not consider that the "day of Jacob's trouble" is key to understanding it? If Scripture has given us information on the end times, we should consider all of it, as it will all be necessary to understand the world and that He is still in control when we see the tribulation unfold... especially if we reject "escapism."

This view makes zero sense to me.<br><br>When I listen to men such as MacArthur, Tom Pennington, Phil Johnson and Abner Chow teach eschatology….I am filled with optimism.<br><br>I struggle to wrap my head how theologically sound men can differ so greatly on such an important doctrine.
