  Fun fact: enslaved persons who self-liberated sometimes did a version of this: they perfected the act of stuttering to such an extent that the patrols got frustrated and told them to go home.

  Pretending to be clueless when you&apos;re actually well-versed in something is an underrated tactic. It&apos;s crazy how people love to over-explain things to you when they think you&apos;re not as knowledgeable as them. Definitely comes in handy!

  I always have to pretend to be stupid, otherwise everyone around me stops thinking for themselves, especially my family.

  I dated a single mom for a while I&apos;m 6&apos;7&apos;&apos;&apos; heavy set with a full beard the kid saw me and said I looked like hagred I played dumb he ran to his room grabbed his copy of the first harry potter and flipped to the page where hagred was described on harrys 11th birthday he was so excited he didnt mind rereading the books with me for his bed time truth is i read my own copies of the books long ago and watched the movies too but it was still a very nice time reading the books with him

  For the name one, my dad wanted to name my sister Blackberry after blackberry brandy his favorite drink. Everyone (and me when I learned this) said it was a stripper name and he settled on just Brandy

  When is it smart to pretend to be stupid?when your going to do something smart..so when the police show up you say &quot;that couldn&apos;t be me only a smart person could do that and I&apos;m stupid so it surely wasn&apos;t me&quot;
