Of course I'd mention that EGA The World's End is live now and then it would get age-gated after publishing. So it's private and I'm going to try to fix that and figure out what YouTube doesn't like about robot heads exploding with blue goo and probably reupload it.

This is the tightest, cleanest, most efficient comedy ever written. Everything connects, there is no wasted script, yet it comes off as authentic and heart warming.

Fun Fact: When Joyce shouts Fascist at Angel, she's using an MP43, a weapon used by the Waffen SS in WW2- fascists.

I love thay while Cate Blanchett is uncredited as Janine, the guy Simon accidentally speaks to first is credited as "Not Janine"

3:33 - VILLAGERS’ NAMES - Each character in the village is named after a profession, as would have been the case in most medieval towns in England, the origin behind most English surnames. Only one villager doesn't follow this pattern, Arthur WEBLEY. However, it must be more than a coincidence that this character possesses a large collection of firearms because ‘Webley’ is one of the oldest names in the firearms industry, founded in Birmingham, England in 1790.

A video titled "Everything great about Hotfuzz" should just be the full unedited movie.

This may be the only movie I've ever seen where not one line is wasted. Every single word is either a setup, a callback or a punchline.
It's really amazing.

1:25 I was today years old when I noticed this. "You can't just make people disappear. - Yes, I can. I'm the chief inspector." IT'S THE PREMISE OF THE WHOLE MOVIE! I always just found it a funny line... Never thought deeper. But this is the first call-back in the movie of call-backs! They give it all away in the first scene! I'm freaking out now, this is SO COOL! I always notice something new! Every time!

It isn't an accident that the only female police officer, played by Olivia Colman is called Doris. When women were allowed to join the police force, they were often referred to as Dorris by male officers.

17:30 One thing I noticed is that Angel said “This notebook will save your skin” and after Danny stabs the notebook, when he’s pulling him out of the car Angel asks “What are you doing?” And Danny responds “Saving your skin”. LITERALLY EVERY LINE IS REPEATED

I love the fact that as Angel rides into town on the horse for the big shootout, the shotguns almost look like angel wings rising up behind him.
