  The fact you took the time to acknowledge the wife&apos;s pain... I just know that meant a lot to her. It&apos;s sometimes easy to feel like doctors aren&apos;t human like us because they see so much every single day. I&apos;m glad you not only have a good head on your shoulders but are also kind and compassionate. At stressful times, that means so much!

  I admire you&apos;re ability to empathize with patients and sit with them in their emotions and then be able to switch gears and think critically about the situation and other patients you may be handling during your shift. Feel like I would have such a difficult time doing that.

  When I was diagnosed with LQTS in 2002 it was considered a zebra and most doctors I saw didn&apos;t know what it was. I have actually pointed out the QT interval on an ECG and worked the Bazett formula for them. It wasn&apos;t until 2017 that the mutation I have was verified by genetic testing. It is really good to see that it is being recognized now.
