It's meant for playing shellac 78's not vinyl records. You can actually see it tearing the groove apart when it was playing it.

I'm impressed by the people who can do this type of work. Taking a device apart, fixing it, and putting it back together without instructions takes a lot of patience. Congratulations!

Я до последнего надеялся, что долгоиграющую пластинку заменят на обычную, на 78 об/мин... Хорошее восстановление, но мне кажется, что стоило восстановить этикетку с логотипом завода на крышке.

The very sight of it cut some 65 years of my days, taking me back to when the only way to hear any music where we lived was gramophone! Though you heard the same old.. But great thrill to sit around and dad operating... O what blissful days, wished we stayed small... 😭
