As someone whose wife was affected with cancer and she beat it, I just want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for donating to this cause. We are forever grateful to all who help.

That bit about Kai Allard Liao, the only Good Capellan, reminded me of one of the few quotes from Battletech that’s gotten stuck in my head. Some Clanner or other is found in a bar on Solaris, watching the usual mech bloodsports. Someone asks him why a Clanner would have any interest in such a “dishonorable” thing, and his answer basically boiled down to “Kai Allard Liao is as great a warrior as any you’ll find in the Clans.” The part that I remember the words to is “what is our Circle of Equals, if not an arena?”

Dear Tex, The BPL, and the entire community,

I write this as a long time fan since the Rifleman video, and as a terminal stage 4 pancreatic and liver cancer patient who is gonna be 34 on june 17th,

I have and always will love and support what you do in this world. Listening to Tex the last 4 to 5 years has always lifted my spirits whenever I've felt down and alone. The community that you have brought together is a beautiful and strong community of some of the most selfless, kind, and most amazing people...all thanks to a man who wanted to make a difference.

This world has so much cruelty and darkness, and it brings me so much happiness and hope that this channel is a ray of light in the darkness. I've been living with stage 4 pancreatic and liver cancer since i was diagnosed in 2022. Did 12 rounds of hell with chemo and that same year i made it into remission. But Doc said I'll always be Stage 4 since it had spread and i cannot be cured. But i get to be alive and see wonderful communities like this doing these things for people who are scared all because you're good people..and i love that ❤

My goal after chemo since I became disabled due to all the damage and trauma i went thru, i wanted to help people who were alone. I wanted to be there for people who were going thru cancer and who maybe didnt have support system. Hell i will happily shave all my hair off just so they dont have to be alone with the hair loss....

But that's enough from me, i just really wanted to say thank you for being amazing Tex and community. For doing what you do.

-Matthew ❤

Y'know. When Kurita goes "Yo this is a smidge far to do to a defeated enemy" you miiiight want to, y'know. Take a good hard look at yourself and what you are doing.

One thing that I'd like to add: Tyra's kamikaze run was such epic badassery that even the Smoke Jaguars acknowledge it, so much that they added lines dedicated to her in their Rememberance, and re-named a class of combat dropship (the Charybdis-class carrier dropships) after her.

“Tyra of the Rasalhague led,
Forth her fiery flying Drakøns,
Gallant in bronze. A warrior woman whose hands
Were unskilled in the ways of hearth and home,
In skills of war she was hard and trained
To leave behind the airy winds and fight
Where the void is eternal and life fleeting.
Tyra and her warriors fought
Like crazed demons above Radstadt.
When her fighter was crippled by ours,
And her life leaked away into the endless night,
She chose to die
And sent her fighter like a spear
Through the Dire Wolf, claiming as isorla
Our mighty ilKhan's life. Sing of our loss, warriors!
Sing, but of Tyra also,
For though an enemy, her courage none can deny.”

— The Remembrance, Passage 294, Verse 8, Lines 17-33
