Lol. I had forgotten that Sosa forgot how to speak English at the hearing. That was hilarious.

The look on Schillings face when Palmierro waved his finger was priceless!

MLB is also to blame for looking the other way for so long.

My buddy and I use to make fun of a Palmeiro home run as it always barely clear the wall but knowing now he used OMG 😅 that should have been a lot of Pop flies not home runs

I remember one day complaining to my comrades how sick & tired I was of constantly seeing R.P's 🏁 🏎 racing commercials that were Viagra, than like the next day his commercials were gone from television 📺 like he never existed.

Yes, Palmeiro was wrong, but from MLB to the press to<br>Congress there was plenty of hypocrisy and ethical failures to go around.

I understand roids were a complicated era but he blatantly lied. Thats the issue. Some of these commenters glazing fraud is unsurprising tho.

First off i don’t know about you but I getting some medicine injected i am not having my spouse do the interjection. Secondly his story basically throwing his teammate Miguel under the bus. Real classy move there Raphael. You should taken note from Mcquire who sat next to him and said nothing cause he made it a thousand times worst instead

Steroids and MLB are a very complicated tale. Many players used them for part of the intended use, increased recovery. That allowed players to play through injuries, recover faster, be game ready frequently and stay on the field for the whole season. HGH was a problem where guys noticeably increased in size and gained tens of pounds and doubling home run counts. I’ve tried t-booster for a month before and you don’t necessarily notice a strength difference, but you notice a recovery difference. You’re less sore, beat up and tired physically. Anabolic steroids are a non-natural version of that. Winstrol however, is a form of steroid that increases performance as well. Steroids themselves don’t always increase performance as that’s not their intentent. You’ll take steroids for sickness, allergies, inflammation, broken bones, etc. Look at Dee Gordon and Fernando Tatis Jr for example. Tatis is hitting the ball as hard now as he was in 2021. See Gordon didn’t have a jump in power numbers and Andy Pettitte didn’t benefit. Pettitte used it to heal from an injury, Tatis used it to fight ringworm and Gordon claims he didn’t knowingly take the tainted substance, many of which can have traces in different protein powders that don’t go through thorough checks beforehand. Certain players were linked, but didn’t necessarily benefit, at least not numbers wise, maybe just durability wise. Guys like Sosa however, obviously benefited.

I have to wonder if the gist of his story is true, that he didn't intentionally take steroids. The details, like blaming Miguel Tejada and all that stuff, I don't know what to make of. He would have to be the dumbest person who ever lived to take stanozolol at that time, having already well over 500 home runs and on his way to 3000 hits that season.
