  I think Logan was suffering from paranoia.  He was a hero in a war elevated and than asked to send word for aid from the same people he fought.

  Jory's freakout would make a lot more sense if it was based on "hey this is blood magic" rather than a sudden stroke of cowardice. With Loghain the thing that bugs me is he has two potential motivations that I find super compelling, being worried about Cailan selling the country out to Orlais and setting aside Anora to marry the empress, or genuinely believing that the battle was lost and the Wardens got Cailan killed by making him overconfident and reckless, but the game doesn't really commit to exploring either it just hints at them.

  A lot of comparisons to D&D are made in this video, and I wanted to point out that it’s 90% likely that DA:O are built on the bones of what was originally supposed to be Balders gate 3. BioWare made the first 2 games and a third was cancelled, and the license taken by WotC early in development. I think a lot of the more direct D&D elements are holdovers from BG. The first thing I noticed when playing BG3 was “wow this is so similar to DAO that it’s crazy”

  Ostagar is why I think Loghain is hands-down the best Warden companion in Inquisition. He recognises some of the man he used to be in Clarel and her “by any means necessary” mentality.<br><br>Loghain walked that path himself and he wants to stop the Wardens from making the same mistakes

We know that some darkspawn are more intelligent than others, so they might be capable of this kind of warfare

  In all my dozen playthroughs this is the 1st time I notice at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_rAFdXf2J0&amp;t=3617">1:00:17</a> that the woman Daveth was talking to is right there at the battle. Cool detail.

  Great video! &nbsp;One other point of clarification, there were survivors from Ostagar that didn&apos;t retreat with Logain - Aveline in DA2 plus Carver and or Hawke themselves depending on your class. &nbsp;Most likely when the lines broke not everyone was killed but ran, with few actually escaping.

  These deep dives are great. I fully agree regarding not using DLC reward items early. In fact, I never use them because they often obsolete base game items. That includes the items from Honnleath, R2O, and Soldier&apos;s Peak. I make a few exceptions with Duncan&apos;s Dagger, since mid game dagger upgrades are hard to come by, and it&apos;s not OP. I also use the repeater gloves to help make archery fun. Once I stopped using most DLC items and all exploits, including crafting/selling Potent Lyrium, the game became so much more fun. Upgrades to gear are more meaningful and decisions around purchases more impactful.

  The second time I played and knew Daveth and Jory would die at the ritual I sold their equipment before. Which means they were in their underwear during the cutscene. That was silly and very accurate at the same time.
