I would always visit Whitby, robin hoods bay and Scarborough over the years with my grandparents in their various caravans! Since they both passed recently it’s so nice to watch these videos back and relive it ☺️

The owners of the "Golden Lion" Irish pub wanted to change the name to something more Irish , but seeing the small street is called "Golden Lion Bank" , the locals were not impressed and successfully challenged the change of name. Great pub , I was there a few days ago 😊
Fabulous weather for a video.

What I see as an outsider? Lovely town with narrow streets , very alive ,nice architecture and very tempting signs with sea food.
The abbey and graveyard very impressive.

Imagine being a young sailor on captain cooks ship, when it’s about to set sail for the pacific, sailing out from Whitby’s harbour, for a long voyage ahead to discover Australia. Shiver my timbers Tim, that sounds like an adventure. Great video Tim. :)

The Whitby version of those Cityscape maps, and jigsaws, is the only one to mention Arnold Palmer Putting Course by name.

Whitby is a superb holiday location loved by visitors and tourists everywhere. Whitby is fairly busy during winter although nowhere near as busy as it would be in spring and summer months.
