Tela was huge in Texas. His albums stayed in rotation in college in late 90s, 2000s. All his albums were great. He disapearred off the face of Earth.

I left a downtown Houston club (early 90s) and stopped at a gas station to grab a Coke....I am at the register and I ALWAYS keep my head on a swivel....I took a glance behind me....Tela with a fresh azz suit on, with 2 (TWO) bad honeys with him, one on each side!! I was like...whoa!! I said what's up to him, told him that had been bumping his jams from day 1, he gave me a dap, said he appreciated that, and he proceeded to make his purchase. I had a pager but there were no cell phones (that were affordable) at that time.
