  I watched again Mr. Ashe (win) and Jimmy Connors 1975 Wimbledon match. And although Mr. Conners had prodigious physical talent, he lacked sportsmanship. During the match was a mocking, taunting, arrogant, petulant and all around PISSANT ASS!towards Mr. Ashe. Whilst Mr. Ashe exemplified only professionalism, grace and humility. He chose to play the match with his brain knowing he couldn't play to Connors strength which was a power attack style. It was so refreshing to watch an athlete of "any" race play for obvious love of the game without the I I I, me me me attitude of today's athletes. And his contributions to society go without saying were sincere, and heartfelt. A true and rare American Icon and Hero...he will be missed. RIP Mr. Ashe

  what a great personality. he was not outspoken, nor was he attention seeker. shy and humble. Absolute genius and true fighter.

  What a documentary! Everybody should see this. Arthur Ashe could have been the first black president if he would have lived!

  It's amazing how he changed his way of playing in order to beat Mr Connors truly a legendary performance rest in peace Arthur Ashe!!
