The guy that hid his gf's ring-absolute monster. I think he knew the thought of losing her ring would be devastating and he let her feel like that for an entire day. It's exhausting experiencing high emotions for an extended period of time. And he did all that to teach her a lesson? I wouldn't trust him around my stuff and I wouldn't trust him to tell me what he's actually feeling. He wants this woman to be his wife and he can't have an honest conversation with her? Not looking good.

I think ring guy is lying to himself. No way he would have pulled all that shit if the jewelry in question was a tribute to a dead friend or some other kind of family member. All that noise about 'keeping it safe" is cover for keeping evidence of her previous relationship out of sight.

Yo, I feel so bad for the adopted girl. I've got 3 adopted siblings, I'm one of the bio kids, and like. It doesn't matter who is or isn't biologic. We're all siblings. Us growing up and becoming adults didn't change that at all. Family is family

That brother story, ugh. I feel so bad for OP. My siblings and i barely tell each other we look nice on important occasions without going “still ugly AF tho” and that includes my sister to her step brother on her moms side. I can’t imagine having to deal with that.

Third story: He stole probably her most precious, most irreplaceable belonging, watched her literally go sick looking for it, and then, only when he realized there was no gaslighting his way out of what he’d done, retroactively made up some bullshit paternalistic excuses that could give him some plausible deniability about the actual reason he did it. What a selfish, horrible guy. I hope he’s never allowed within a hundred feet of her ever again.

#3 that is some AmIThe Devil meets AmItTheEx, red flag shit. He's jealous of a dead person, to the point he demands his girlfriend to take off a piece of jewelry that's deeply meaningful to her, followed by gaslighting. His initial request was crossing the line already and it only got worse and worse as time went on. Nowhere in this whole post did he ever expresses any regret or sympathy towards her. Even as she was having a full on mental breakdown because of his insecurities. At the end, he even asks "how can i fix this?", thinking only of himself and how to get the relationship back on track as if he didn't do anything. Her feelings never mattered in any of this. Was a colossal turd.

I have 2 autistic children and you don't see 1 doctor then get the diagnosis, it takes multiple appointments and different types of doctors and nurses... it's a process.

As an autistic person, the first story is definitely talking about an autistic child and not empathizing with him. He needs to be taken to a professional and diagnosed. He shouldn’t have to deal with the OP.

I can't believe that one OP compared him hiding his girlfriend's ring to her losing it on vacation. There's a stark difference between losing something after performing a daily ritual that would keep it safe in a predictable spot and losing something because a chain snapped.
