  My wife and I play and beat this game every year. We honestly trivialized every part of it that we bought another copy and started racing each other.

  one of my very favorite things of late has been watching folks confidently return to dark souls for challenge runs like "I know this game like the back of my hand, 2ez" and the game still killing them in unexpected ways just like it did in 2011. it's great. it's a jank masterpiece

  Dark souls was extremely challenging in its time for most players, but it’s like the Van Halen effect. When Van Halen did his eruption solo, everyone thought it was the pinnacle of guitar ability at the time. However now middle schoolers can pull it off on YouTube. Once you break a conceptual barrier, others can do it easier.

  Commenting to respond to <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTDEX_RcQC8&amp;t=125">2:05</a>; the double-hit is done by inputting a normal jumping heavy from the ledge above such that the momentum of the move carries you off the ledge. The hitbox from the jump attack will land, then the special plunge hit triggers.

  So, to answer your question at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTDEX_RcQC8&amp;t=720">12:00</a> of why you have 12 estus, when playing online (which you seem to be doing), other players kindling nearby bonfires will give you an estus flask use, up to a max of 20.
