  You can pour water in port and see if it leaks 😊

  Excellent video. I'll be doing this on my motor this Saturday. Had fuel and oil coming out the carburetor. I also had oil and white smoke coming out the exhaust as well and it would quit running after about 30 seconds. I really miss the old mowers that never quit unless there was something seriously wrong with it. These newer mowers seem to last one season then die or need a head gasket, a carburetor, valve seals or something major. I can't stand these newer engines they SUCK! On my third mower in 5 years and my 2nd CraPsman in two years. the Husqvarna lasted three years giving me troubles after a week, coil went, then at 6 months the rings started to go.   use a 8mm closed end wrench to hold the rocker security cap steady while you tighten the securing cap locking nut with a T10 TORX driver.  its NOT a allen wrench

  Would an gasket being blown cause carborater to use my entire tank of  gas in 5 minutes witout running because of an leak

  Hello sir, just seeing this and working on my fisrt mower. But I fail to see what is the valve lash set to? 4 thousandths or 5 thousandthths?

  I have that same model engine and broke the head off the bottom mounting screw on my muffler. I tried to drill the remaining portion out with my left handed drill bits but couldn't get it out. The top mounting screw is tight and when I try to move or shake the muffler it's a tight fit but it sounds different when it's running. If you had this problem would you replace your cylinder head or continue running it the way it is?

  It’s a fact the head gasket will not last very long or with in 3/5 years if not sooner 😢😢😢

  I was troubleshooting my engine and took it all apart. I pulled the head off but OHV cover wouldn’t come off so I reassembled everything and re-seated the push rods by closing the head. Now I feel like the timing is off. Is it possible to have messed up the timing without opening the OHV and messing with the rocker arms?  Maybe the push rods aren’t in their divots?
