  In AYS Jungkook teases Jimin by saying that Jimin hates people touching his head, but says he’s going to do it anyway while rubbing his head. We can see the truth of that statement during the Arirang tour. We see a number of times that a member reaches out to touch his hair and he bats them away. But there’s also video of Jungkook playing with his hair and Jimin just sitting there letting him do it without trying to push him away.

  You made this librarian proud. Thank you for doing the research and citing your sources! On another note, as new Army and Jikook supporter, I keep seeing all of these same comments, and it is annoying. I 100% believe that these commenters didn't do any research; they just found an excuse to explain away something that they didn't like or made them uncomfortable. I came into this fandom knowing nothing about Jikook. I saw BTS in concert as a casual fan, then came home and started watching their content. I started with the Netflix doc, the BTS Monuments doc, and then watched Are You Sure? I wasn't, but maybe one/two episodes in before I started thinking, are these two a couple? There is just something different between JM and JK. Yes, the entire group is close, but those two give off couple vibes.

  CJ, when I first started following bts and jk and jimin. On you tube there was this man he lived in korea and was a closeted gay man. He was talking about jk and jimin and he stated that, they wee hiding in plain sight. He had no doubt that they were gay and a couple. Just my thoughts, &nbsp;I think that they can do the things they do which we know are not normal skinship , is because their actions will simply be labeled as skinship by many. The many being those who don&apos;t like the idea of them being gay and &nbsp;lovers.<br><br>JK and Jimin also do the things they do I believe because they don&apos;t want to hide their relationship again being fake. But, also because they want the fans who support them to know who they are.and that yes<br>what you see is real we are a couple. They can&apos;t say it in words but they can show it with their interactions.

  Six year Jikooker here. I’m a firm believer that both Jimin and JK know how most of the fandom interprets their actions. They know that most will magic away their interactions using the very excuses talked about in this video. I think they take advantage of that, and because of it are more free to be their true selves. As annoying as it is to us, it’s a blessing in disguise for them.

  Hi CJ,<br><br>As a Korean Jikook supporter in my 50s, I found your video fascinating. Your deep insight into Korean culture was truly impressive, and I wanted to share a few thoughts from a native perspective.<br><br>Coming from a patriarchal Korean society, I was surprised to see Western fans so shocked by the members&apos; physical affection and emotional vulnerability. I had assumed the West was more open, but the Western &quot;man box&quot; seems far narrower and more rigid. In Korea, male physical closeness is accepted not because society is open-minded, but because people have simply been indifferent to it without immediately associating it with being gay.<br><br>Even by Korean standards, BTS&apos;s physical intimacy is exceptional. Korean ARMYs fondly call them the &quot;Vegetable Tempura Boys&quot; because they are always clumped together like mixed fried veggies.<br><br>Because all seven are so affectionate, what makes Jikook stand out isn&apos;t just their skinship. As you often point out, there is no need to confine their bond to a romantic label. They are colleagues, friends, brothers, comrades—and undeniably something more, sharing an irreplaceable and truly special connection.<br><br>Watching BTS and Jikook openly care for one another has inspired me to express more warmth and affection toward my own family, and I am deeply grateful for that. I simply hope their genuine bond continues to thrive.<br><br>Thank you for your thoughtful work!

  Saying Korean society is conservative and then that queer baiting is normal within KPOP and encouraged is crazy to me. The society as a whole doesn’t approve of same sex couples and yet the industry and the fans want to see it played out on stage. It’s just wild to me. <br><br>I think with the members being so close and family to one another there are more moments of embracing and touching to show affection. But it’s different when it is JM and JK. There’s a different energy between them. Maybe I’m seeing what’s not there but I do think it’s more than brotherly.<br><br>Also, when people think we are weird or obsessed about this is just bothersome. I am interested for one as it’s seems natural mostly and I haven’t experienced this type of affection with the men in my life…so for men straight or gay to shower each other with love, support and affection is so lovely to see and strange at the same time. Not strange in a bad way but in a way that makes me want to find out why it’s so different with the members than what I have seen here in the states.

  OMGosh, i have two friends that say it’s impossible for Jikook to be together and jikook will only be happy with a woman. &nbsp;It’s completely annoying and yes I’m a Jikook fan. &nbsp;Ive also heard other Korean men say exactly what you’re saying. &nbsp; Like dancing and holding another man from behind is different sucking on someone’s ear, cuddling.

  In primul rand iti multumesc pentru munca de cercetare pe care ai facut-o, stiu cat de grea si obositoare este, eu mi-am exprimat de mai multe ori nedumerirea fata de incurajarea atitudinilor idolilor de a se prezenta pe scena ca niste queer, incurajari ce vin chiar de la companiile de care apartin idolii , dar pe de alta parte societatea koreana nu accepta relatiile celor de acelasi sex...dar accepta ca pe scena, chiar in timpul spectacolelor doi idoli sa se sarute sau sa se mangaie...mi se pare o ipocrizie totala a societatii in sine. Oricum ar fi , o singura privire a lui JIMIN &nbsp;catre JK arata &nbsp;cu totul altfel de cum ii priveste pe Namjoon , Jin, taehyung sau Hobi, chiar si fata de Suga, ii zambesc ochii, iar cateodata cand JK se uita dupa JM sa il gaseasca pe scena aia mare, cand il gaseste in sfarsit &nbsp;timp de o secunda are o privire uluita, mirata...simt ca parca il redescopera de fiecare data.
