🥣 Ever buy something because the front of the package made it seem healthy, like fruit was in it, or it was made with better quality ingredients? You’re not alone. In this video, we uncover some of the biggest food label tricks hiding in plain sight across American grocery stores: 🫐 “Blueberry” foods with little—or sometimes zero real blueberries 🍓 Strawberry products that rely on flavors, dyes, and lookalike ingredients instead of strawberries 🍎 “Made With Real Fruit” snacks that contain far less fruit than most people imagine 🥑 Avocado oil and olive oil products blended with cheaper oils 🍯 Honey foods where honey is often a minor ingredient compared to other sweeteners 🍞 Breads that quietly pack surprising amounts of added sugar 🧈 “Buttery” foods that contain little to no actual butter 🍗 Why some chicken products are labeled WYNGZ instead of wings ⚖️ None of these examples are necessarily illegal. In many cases, the claims on the front of the package are technically true. The problem is that the impression created by the marketing often doesn't match what you're actually buying. 🔎 We're breaking down labeling loopholes, marketing tactics, and the gray area where perception and reality start to separate.
