Imagine the first time you take that apart not knowing if you will be able to reassemble it.

    Brilliant video mate as always.

Just one recommendation if i may, when turning the water back on, do it slowly and allow the pipes to fill before turning fully on, i have seen many a pipe blown because of this especially if your pressure is high. Once fully open turn it back a quarter or half a turn to prevent it from seizing.

Tip, put the plug in or a paper towel over the drain, if anything small gets dropped it's going down the drain along with your day.

Thank you, Stuart. Your videos on all sorts of topics are so inspiring and thorough to provide confidence for people like me to complete tasks myself - saving money on tradespeople and often finishing to a higher standard as they have to rush to the next job. Thank you for your variety and completeness.

Kilrock is very good. Once a month I descale my coffee machine saving the descaling liquid to use in my kettle after which i put it in the loo to remove the scale that builds up there.

Growing up in '50s Gloucestershire, the geology of the Cotswolds and the Severn Vale limestone used to cause severe problems. Hard water degraded the old Victorian lead pipes and early copper. Raw materials were rather scarce during the postwar reconstruction era. Thank goodness for water softeners.
