75 years of age now retired, started my bricklaying apprenticeship when is was 15 , as I progressed in the trade I found out that when talking Architects you should always make the sign of the cross , these very clever people have probably never layed a brick , two years compulsory site work before they are allowed to pick up a pencil ! Would do us all a great favour!

I am a retired carpenter. Many years ago we were working on a well known building in west Norfolk. The architect (from London) could not design part of the roof where a lift shaft emerged. He let us build it and then made a drawing to match it!

Always wanted to buy a 2Way Tape Measure that's Readable Left or Right as that's where most Mistakes Happens 😅

I love this shit mate. Takes me right back to labouring to my dad who was a perfectionist. Crabbit as fuck all day, but only because he was after perfection and if that meant my life had to be hell all day then so it was.

Keep tbe videos coming. I love them.

Carpenter & Joiner here & we have a fucking nightmare with Architects with roofs.

Some of the stuff they half draw or specify is genuinely WTF. We have had them draw draw roofs with elevations not on the drawing & it turned out they had steels sticking out of the roof 😲 some architects just need to have their Crayons confiscated.

Was working for a well known architect who is scared of heights. 3rd lift of the scaffold was his limit. We were working on a church spire. 😂

Architects and engineers never ever think of the construction guy or the mechanic. If they did, things would certainly go easier !!
