I laughed a little when she was able to get under a VW Bug with a creeper.

A huge reason this movie was so well received by fans is the Generation 1 nostalgia. Bee is a VW Beetle again, the 80s time period, the Cybertron sequences. This one soft reboot movie is better than Bay's entire franchise. As another example, this scene is very similar to how Bumblebee met his first human in the Marvel G1 comics. The autobots were doing recon around town and got caught up in a Decepticon attack on a drive-in movie theater. Buster Witwicky was there with his girlfriend and during the confusion he ended up hiding behind a yellow VW Beetle when he suddenly heard it weakly cry out for help. Buster drove the damaged car back to his father's mechanic shop and when they slid under it and tightened a loose bolt or something, suddenly Bumblebee transformed into robot form and introduced himself.

This movie got the look of the Transformers right. So much more expressive, not as visually confusing.

The design of this Bumblebee is the best “live action” Transformers design bar none.

Writers wouldn’t have imagined bumblebee would be a hit among kids…it skyrocketed and settled well with kids and youngsters. As always ppl say the character builds its own narrative and helps writers to build the theme on top of it, bumblebee made its own,
