  I&apos;ve never read a bad word about Keith Flint, who despite his scary appearance was by all accounts utterly nice. There&apos;s a lovely story from James Blunt, of all people.   Keith Flint was friends with my brother. He used to come round our house when i was younger. I lost my brother 4 years ago so kinda hope they&apos;re both having a laugh together somewhere!

  Keith Flint terrified a generation of kids in that Firestarter video, but he lived the very opposite of an intense lifestyle. He lived in the most idyllic manor house cottage in Essex, he rode motorbikes but he also loved bird watching and kept a bunch of animals.

  I photographed Keith in 2014. He was a genuine gentleman and an absolute pleasure to shoot and hang out with for the day, The portrait from that session still remains one of my favourite shots to this day. RIP.

  I had the honour and privilege to be the assistant engineer (read ‘tape op’/‘tea boy’) for the vocal sessions for ‘Fat of the Land’. When it came to firestarter, it was decided that, for the vibe, Keith should do his vocals in the control room. He had a handheld SM58 with the lead trailing out through the control room door , into the live room, and plugged directly into a 4x12 Marshall stack. The stack was miked up and recorded. Can’t have the speakers bleeding over the vocals so everyone had headphones. Except there weren’t enough headphones to go round so I was the only one that didn’t have headphones. So the track starts playing and Neil MacLellen (producer), Liam, Maxim and Keith et.al, are nodding in sync and all I can hear is the ‘tis tis tis’ of the headphone overspill. And Keith heavy breathing. Keith is at the back of the room in long shorts, tattooed calfs, and double Mohawk. <br>Suddenly Keith bends over double and screams “I’M THE FIRESTARTER” into the mic. Neck veins throbbing, snorting like a bull. Remember I’m the only one that can’t hear the music. <br>I got to hear the whole acapella of firestarter sung at me by Keith himself. <br>I absolutely concur with the other commenters- outside of his onstage persona, he was an adorable man. “Your mum would love him “. <br>Miss him. <br>P.S. : I also drove him in my mini round London looking for W H Smiths to get Letrasets to find fonts for his “Inflicted“ tattoo. Double Mohican touching the roof liner in the passenger seat xx

  The prodigy were a great unifier, Dance, pop, rock, metal, indie, nobody hated them in the 90.s

  My mum danced firestarter every time it came on with me back in the day. She hated prodigys&apos; first style of music but loved their last. Rip mum, Rip Keith. I hope you are both firestarting up there and dancing your best dance.

  Keith Flint sadly missed, he loved motorbike and ran a motorcycle racing team, Team Traction Control, which won four Isle of Man TT races in 2015 and 2016.

  I met Kieth Flint in a pub in Camden he was as much like his Firestarter character as the Pope is like Mohamed Ali. He was quiet and a really nice guy and as you say a really good guy to chat with. I was very sad when they announced his death
