  You know how films sometimes feature little videos in the credits that shows the characters living happily ever after, in happy homes, marrying their true loves and having babies...The Downton trilogy feels like 650 minutes of that.

  I hate what they did to Moseley. Was complete Flanderisation. They turned him into a complete Buffoon for cheap laughs. Like in the series he’s just supposed to be the guy who can’t catch a break trying his best. Now he’s just a complete idiot for some reason. Like he is a trained Valet, there is no reason why he would mess up serving the King and Queen by addressing them.

  Ugh you know what would’ve been interesting?? If downton had to take in a bunch of kids evacuated from London in wwii. That would help transition out of the “golden era” but not have to attempt any battlefield scenes. It’d be like when the house was a hospital in wwi. You could even have the miscellaneous Crowley kids interacting with the evacuated kids and question the adults why they have so much but the other kids are struggling. Which would make the adults FINALLY move on out of this age

  My favourite part of the 3rd film is when Lord Grantham forgot that Thomas was gay and was baffled by his closeness with Guy. Like he didn’t have a whole conversation about Thomas being gay with a policeman who came to his cricket match.

  Don&apos;t forget Andy going part-time to look after the pigs to allow Mr Mason to retire, but now he&apos;s the butler and yet Mr Mason can retire into his &apos;full marriage&apos;.

  For me where the 1st movie went insane was how Isobel just casually ambushes Maude Bagshaw and somehow guesses Lucy Smith is Maude&apos;s secret love child and Maude does absolutely nothing to refute it, even confirming it. Imagine, a Lady In Waiting to The Queen and member of The Royal Household, being accused of an extramarital affair and having a child, being told her secret has been found and she&apos;s just like &quot;yeah you got me, let me spill the details to you, woman I just met&quot;. Edith had a whole story arc of a similar nature and she tries to keep it secret but it just snowballs out of control and in the end only her family knows. Maude kept that shit secret for 20 years and at the first bit of accusation she crumples like a house of cards because they just don&apos;t have the run time.
