  I&apos;m 10 minutes in, and the amount of poor decision making &nbsp;by these people is astounding. &nbsp;Insisting on going kayaking so late in the day, in rough 46 degree waves, with no life jacket?? &nbsp;I&apos;m sorry the victim died, but at some point staying alive on this planet takes more than a little common sense.

  As a defense attorney, I have a really hard time watching this. Other countries have abandoned the Reid technique because it elicits false confessions. People who watch “true” crime interrogations ONLY see edited “confessions.”<br><br>Law enforcement isn’t looking for your help. They WANT a CONFESSION. That’s their ONLY goal. <br><br>Here is some free legal advice. &nbsp;The only thing you say to interrogators is “I want a lawyer.” If you think that only guilty people confess - you are VERY naïve.

  THIS WOMAN IS 100% INNOCENT!!<br><br>Having paddled for about 45 years, this was 100% his fault: &nbsp;no life jacket ON (not even one on his boat), careless decision to return when weather turned bad (they should of stayed on land), &nbsp;cold water 46* without a wetsuit or drysuit, drain plug should have been secured to boat with a string, &nbsp;no clue how to save himself by getting up on her boat, alcohol, &nbsp;no skirt on cockpit, and no boat floatation for displacement of water. &nbsp; It is very common for another paddler to grab the capsized boater&apos;s paddle as a courtesy so it doesn&apos;t get lost. &nbsp;The boat he was using was not made for the conditions they were in. &nbsp; UNBELIEVABLE that anyone would be held accountable for HIS failures.

  I feel sorry for his mother&apos;s loss but I think it is easier for her to believe that her son was murdered than acknowledge her son was irresponsible and most likely responsible for his own death.
