  Winky Wright was the Eddie Perkins of his generation. Fought everyone, wasn't scared to fight them in their backyards, held his own with everyone, and ends up getting forgotten. Real boxing fans will know how good he was though.

  Winky was my favourite fighter in this era he fought everybody and I think all the other fighters he faced would say he was there toughest fight

  Winky was a problem for any fighter he met and I haven't seen anybody even coming close to solving this problem. Bernard solved it with his extra dirtiness in this fight ...

  God bless Ema🎉Stewart. I met him years ago and what a gentleman. I  was at the  Detroit auto auction buying cars for a dealership I worked for. There was a man standing there looked like Emanuel. I approached him and asked him  if anyone ever told him that he looked like Emanuel Stewart. He motioned me to  follow him outside. He then gave me his driver's license. He was there with Andy Lee looking for a car for Andy. I  asked him if I could come to the Kronk gym sometime. He then gave me his phone number Unfortunately he passed away. I still have it on my phone.What a thrill meering him.RIP.

  best thing Winky did was leave DC when he did. a lot of guys from his neighborhood got caught up in the mix

  X showed his pedigree in this fight. Needed all those tricks to win, not an easy style but handled his biz in a very effective manner. Won from the outside using mobility and pivoting around using timed attacks. Strength negated winks inside game, grabbing is part of the sport. Tyson Fury, Hopkins, Ali, Andre ward all employ grappling tactics to smother attacks. It’s bending the rules not breaking them.Gruelling fight, both guys exceptional fighting when tired. That’s the name of game. Best sport ever despite all the bs

  I had the fight 115-114 for Hopkins. There was a lot of subtle skill in their between those two masters of the craft.
