If only modern writers asked themselves 1/100th of the plot questions they asked...

Star Trek 2, 3, and 4 were a great Trilogy of Trek films! 👏

Now the running gag of re-using that Bird of Prey for anything and everything in subsequent stories makes sense and is hilarious.

As a kid, the 'death' of the Enterprise impacted me more than Spock's in II.

Every character got a chance to shine and develop in this movie.

Man when you see the bird of prey at the beginning uncloack its so good.  The shoot out at the end the seld destruction man this is it! Kahn is amazing 👏 but I give 3 the nod .and we all know yhe footage of the kilingon destruction them flying around is used for every single shot of klingon damage the whole production its great . Star trek up til 05 was awesome and we'll never forget it. Im looking at a model I have of the refit enterprise I cherish that ship

"The Search For Spock" is my second favourite Trek movie ever, and it's success makes mincemeat of the claim that all the odd-numbered instalments suck.

I'll always have a soft spot for ST3. Was my first star trek film seeing it in a theater and i love the story and james horner's music is outstanding

For some reason, Shatner's acting in this one is better than most of the other films.

Not bringing Kirstie Alley back for this movie was a HUGE mistake. Her performance was great in Wrath of Khan. I am still saddened she never returned to the character. Though I shouldn't be surprised that Paramount lowballed her.

Fun Fact: It wasn't just the Paramount fire in '83 that threw the production a curve ball. They also lost an entire day of footage because their film processing lab, Movielab, decided to close their doors by pulling the fire alarm, and when the employees were on the sidewalk, chain the doors shut and shut the power. Unfortunately, the dailies negative for "Star Trek III" was in the developer and irretrievably lost. The production ended up reshooting the entire day of work.
