Pienza is my favorite. Close to many towns but very seclusive and quaint with terrific views!!

Lucca is the birthplace of Giacomo Puccini. Palazzo Alexander, inside the walls, a lovely hotel.

Siena is a must, Montepulciano maybe just 2 nights… Bologna 3 nights max and Perugia 2 night or 3 max…. Be careful staying outside montelpuciano can be very restricting

Great, informative video! We are flying into Rome in April 2027 with our first stop in Tuscany. Should we rent a car from Rome airport or take a train into Tuscany somewhere to pick up a car?

Suggesting avoiding Siena during the Palio is like suggesting Paris without the Louvre or India without the Taj Mahal. It's a disservice to your users, who, if they followed your advice, would be depriving themselves of an absolutely authentic and extraordinary event, not just in Tuscany, Italy, or Europe, but in the world! Terrible advice.
