  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7w456T7PyU&amp;t=1232">20:32</a> the reason dogmeat isn’t considered a companion for lone wanderer, is because originally the game was going to allow companions in a similar way to fallout 3 and new vegas. one humanoid companion, and one lil friend. eventually for some reason they botched that idea but some of the code for it still stuck through, like certain dialogue lines and, obviously, the lone wanderer perk.

  So for the Big Dig, you have to talk to Mel at the final door before you can advance the quest. I&apos;ve had the same thing happen in a game. It&apos;s not bugged, it&apos;s just Bethesda.

  I’d like to think Nate in this run was an avid nuka cola fan and the absolute worst thing about the apocalypse was him never getting to taste nuka cola quantum. So now he roams the wastes finding every glass of it that he can.

  If you’re carrying junk with you to upgrade weapons on the fly, make sure you open up the workbench afterwards to get your scrap out. Like if the mod you build breaks down a microscope for example, any components of the microscope you didn’t use will be placed into the workbench instead of your inventory. Learned that the hard way.
