WAR on World at War is the greatest cod game mode ever created. Able to play huge maps at 5 different POIs throughout the game. I miss it dearly.

My favourite mode has always been headquarters. It starts of as king of the hill but as soon as someone gets the objective, it turns into a survival mode for the defenders

I think drop zone is still my absolute favorite mode. It's just dumb fun and allows everyone to experience all the killstreaks.

The most underrated aspect of Cold War was the amount of new fun modes it had. VIP Escort, Knife Fight 3v3, Fireteam Dirt Bomb, Double Agent, Scream Deathmatch, Drop Kick etc

Old School Mode in COD4 was meant to bring in the '90s Arena Shooter' crowd. The whole point was to create gameplay similar to Quake or Unreal Tournament. Faster movement, slower time to kill, and pick ups and power ups. Which is why they called it "Old School Mode", in my opinion they should've called it "Deathmatch".
