As someone nearing 80 years of age, I found that this story provided a new perspective on myself. Thank you for this wonderful story.

What a touching story about seeing the person behind the appearance and choosing kindness over status. The cowboy’s decision was truly unexpected and beautiful, proving that a sincere heart can be worth more than all the wealth in the world.

A beautiful reminder that true love looks beyond wealth, status, and appearances. The moment he walked past everyone and chose the maid who had been humiliated was incredibly satisfying. He didn’t just see a servant—he saw her heart and her worth. ❤

Great story. People from two different backgrounds find love as it should be when you really see each other through the heart and soul.

It’s always wonderful to see someone treat another human being like a person and not like someone who is lesser than they are. I am listening to this from the finger lakes in upstate New York.

Retired Air Force from Pahrump, NV in the Mojave desert on Thursday 09/03/26 at 8:35am. This was a very good frontier love story even though a kiss would have been very nice. I don't agree, the dance was not when it became visible because it was very visible every Tuesday when they sat on the stairs. That's why so many of the townspeople were so upset because of the class difference. The dance proved to me, that Nathaniel demonstrated his choice, his heart, his love of Amelia regardless of anyone else's opinion. Thoroughly enjoyed listening until the end. ❤

We need a part two! Children to carry on Walter’s legacy. Maybe that’s where the additional rooms came in. Listening in southern West Virginia.

To really see someone, is very valuable, for it shows respect and acceptance of the other person, just as that person is! This also means true love with discernment! It's the way the true God looks at each one of us and loves us, no matter how each one is! Thank you for this beautiful story, which also shows real honesty, with true happiness as a result!
