  The final boss IS playing with cheat codes! Emerl's points cap out before getting enough to equip all the Ultimate moves like the final boss has.

  Cream is actually the most powerful character in the game outside of customized Emerl; she has an infinite as you found, you can juggle people with the tornado special, she has a double jump, she heals extremely quickly, and her aerial B move comes out SO fast, incredibly easy to spam

  So, the thing about Emerl&apos;s base special attacks. Most of them don&apos;t actually have the internal &quot;special move&quot; tag applied to them.<br>They do regular damage with no special properties.<br>That is why the ground trap and the air shot will completely bypass the auto guard function of the npcs, as well as not trip Rouge&apos;s &quot;no special attack&quot; rule.<br>If you use an actual special move ability, she does stop that fight.<br><br>Now the actual reason for this is interesting. Consider Sonic&apos;s special moves. His shot and trap attacks launch projectiles, which deliver the related properties of their special attack types.<br>If you use Sonic&apos;s shot attack like you would use emerl&apos;s, its ball form ALSO ignores autoguard.<br>My guess is that they specifically coded it so that Sonic&apos;s spinball will always hurt an opponent who isn&apos;t ACTIVELY guarding, and Emerl just got the gift of handmedown.

  As a kid, I got to the part where you have to dodge Rouge for 2 minutes before I realized upgrading Emerl was possible.<br>Safe to say the game got substantially easier after that.

  the special that you don&apos;t chose is used up as a defense option. that means you automatically block whenever you are hit with the corresponding special. for instance getting hit by an shot special with shot as defense will block that move regardless if you press l or not which is why at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2qBXwxdzro&amp;t=981">16:21</a> gamma blocks emeral&apos;s special in mid air.

  When I played through the game when I was 5 I didn&apos;t even know how to install the upgrades on Emerl so I kinda did the challenge from my own stupidity.

  I’ve never actually played Sonic Battle but seeing the sprites in this video made me remember some fan made sonic browser games YEARS ago that I used to play quite often. Ahh nostalgia
