  Anyone who says this character is bad isn’t playing him properly, and honestly I hope it stays that way. I don’t want him to become brain dead for the average player and suffer nerfs because of it. I love him

  Another tip to help with aim: Arc your projectiles. Aim the orb a little above the enemy’s head, and then slam it down on top of them. Even if you don’t hit them directly, the splash damage will get them rather than shooting the orb straight forward

  You can wave off high ground. I also noticed quite a few times in the first round where you wouldve actually more damage by controlling the orbs a little more. I think the more orbs = more kills mindset is a bit off, part of his value is guaranteeing poke on backline from anywhere

  Thanks for this video. Even though I don't plan on playing this hero, it's always useful to learn things about positioning and playstyle that can be applied to other heroes

  My tip is a lot of people don't value how much damage Guardian Wave does at close range, especially since the falloff is so bad a lot of people write it off as being weak. But for something that's so easy to land, doing close to 100 damage is pretty good. There's been a lot of times where I've caught a lone enemy out of position and vulnerable and quickly surfed over, hit them with a water orb and slammed a wave in their face to kill them in about a second. People underestimate how dangerous Wuyang can be when he rushes you.

  on paper, the speed of the orbs and the low healing output (without considering wave), made him seem like in the middle of nowhere between pressure and sustain support. but by playing him, it's noticeable he's more of a pressure support. like a support junk that can tele-direct his grenades.

  There are 3 types of aiming I use with wuyang.<br><br>1. Instinctual. I use this probably 80% of the time and of involves arcing and slamming into characters. Also knowing maps and where people try to escape to while knowing the travel speed of the orb you can arc around corners and door ways and hit characters blind.<br><br>2. Painting. The orb follows your cursor (duh). The situations are rare but you can hit some precise difficult shots by just putting your cursor on them and keeping them there. Also say there is a low squishy in the back line, shoot the orb above their team when it passes over the target in front of you put your cursor on the person you want and the orb will turn and hit them.<br><br>3. Strafing with no mouse movement. I use this method to get through multiple door ways. It’s also situational but if I have to round two opposite corners to hit a target, I use my memory of the map, the travel speed and strafe back and forth to move the orb dodging both corners. I think of it like my character is the orb and I’m playing it in third person. So I move wuyangs body as if he was the one walking through the gap.

  I’m having an absolute blast on this hero. Having a hard time with flying heroes, but otherwise have felt he’s pretty strong. 55% win rate at my usual rank for a brand new hero suggests to me he’s pretty strong right now.

  I learned the first tip yesterday after struggling with him damage wise for a minute. I was able to go toe to toe with a doom and even beat him a few times after this. Looking forward to finishing your guide. :)
