I drove trucks for 35 years mostly at night. Sometimes I would be exhausted and waited for them to load or unload the trailer. I drove local so no sleeping berth. I’d put my head down on the steering wheel or turn sideways and put my feet up on passenger seat and lean back against the door. If it was raining and windy like this I’d fall into a really deep sleep. I may have only slept for an hour or two but felt like I slept 8 in my own bed. Something about how peaceful it sounds makes for excellent sleeping. I listen to it now at bedtime and I find I wake up very rested.
