  I look forward to blueberry season every year cuz I eat BC blueberries by shoveling handfuls in my mouth cuz they're so good and sweet. I think milk and aquwa need to hit up a farmer's market and get some fruit when it's in season cuz it sounds like they just don't have ripe fruit

Usually, but definitely not always, these have evolved to be sweet, so that other species will eat the fruit for their taste and then deposit the seeds elsewhere. Some things we call vegetables are indeed fruits (e.g. corn, avocados, tomatoes), but many others aren&apos;t. Tubers (such as potatoes), root vegetables (like carrots), bulbs (onions, garlic), leaves (lettuce, kale, spinach), or much of the entire plant (broccoli, cauliflower) which can include several different plant parts.

  I have been led to believe that brussels sprouts <i>did</i> used to taste like utter ass, but then we selectively bred the bitterness out of them and they&apos;re actually mega tasty now. Add some salt and seasoning (even just black pepper, but maybe some oregano or something too) to some olive oil, roll them around in that, toss &apos;em on a parchment paper on a sheet pan, bake &apos;em in the oven, it&apos;s basically the peak of what &quot;I&apos;m just gonna sit here and eat this vegetable by itself as a dish&quot; can possibly taste like. All that is a bit of effort to go through sometimes, but there&apos;s frozen steam in bag brussels sprouts you can get which are similarly seasoned, and they&apos;re 80% as good for like 30% the time and effort.
