As someone with a PhD who has had to conduct research, I just want to say I appreciate how thorough and meticulous you are. Love your work and wanted to show some support.

as former academic myself (different field of study, but still) I ABSOLUTELY LOVE as you massacre this LaVasse. you put more effort in making this vid than she in f...ing writing a book!!! and the perfectly dosed sarcasm makes me love your work even more ❤

The fact that's there's even a book called "Anne Boleyn: A History in Portraits" is so sketch. 😂

As a historian, I sincerely appreciate that you take on the work of an amateur historian. In today's world (especially here in the US), there is an increasing lack of respect for the work of scholarly and scientific experts.

And this is EXACTLY why I come to History Calling for my factual history video fix! I love the depth of research and your passion for truth in history! 💕

I'm not a historian, researcher or an academic by ay means, but I admire you for being so thorough, for delving deep and for explaining things in a way that non-academic people also find it easy enough to understand.

A full-length portrait of Anne would be an absolutely amazing find, although probably too good to be true. Imagine Anne having a portrait like Jane's.
Anne wears the same attire in all the later portaits of her so it would be refreshing if we were to see a portait of Anne in a brightly coloured gown and hood and wearing the Queens jewels rather than the usual B necklace.

I almost skipped this video, thinking it was clickbait, but then I saw it was from History Calling and I was like "oh, this will be a reasonable look at the idea even if the portrait itself isn't legit".

For context: I'm an acquisitions librarian. For those wondering how this got published, it's simple: independently published/ Amazon. Not all independently published books are inherently bad or of poor quality and platfoms like Amazon allow people to publish that wouldn't have that option. However - a someone who's job it is to source and purchase a variety of books, the amount of utter trash out there is mind-blowing, even pre-ai. I can pick it out pretty well now but I've been caught out myself. I can see how a lot of people purchase something of poor quality without realising it. It is so frustrating for so many reasons.
If you or someone you know is planning to write a book, please please please, get someone to proof read and offer constructive feedback, including fonts and formatting. It really does make all the difference.
