  As Ive mentioned to you before Ben, I make power steering hoses with steel and rubber combinations as per original spec. All steel copied, silver soldered into hydraulic standpipes then crimped with a hydraulic press. I have most end fittings if I cant reuse yours or I can usually make them. I also do oil cooler, brake and clutch hoses. Let me know if I can help

  Your local hydraulics/hose specialist should be able to make up a new power steering hose relatively inexpensively. &nbsp;You probably spent more faffing around with rubber hose, copper pipe and fittings, let alone the time wasted. Regardless of how they might look on the outside, the brake flexis will be goosed after 30 years parked. Replacing these is par for the course of recomissioning any car as they can break down and swell internally, restricing flow or trapping fluid. Not something to mess around with given the potential consequences of a failure.

  I’m sorry but I laughed out loud when you fixed both sides of the pipe and then it burst the pipe. The most car thing I’ve seen all week. 😂
