I definitely remember the straightening of billet roller cams for the NASCAR engines. You can always tell if someone isn't quite honest, because you DON'T pressure the high side, you turn it 180 and pressure the low side. Almost doesn't make sense sense, but it is what it is. In reality you are relaxing more so than bending.
I used a pneumatic chisel, like for mufflers and exhaust.
I ground a tool steel tool made matched the cam journal, and had it heat treated. It doesn't matter if it sounds crude, in the day, that's how it was done in NASCAR.
Great show guys !!!!

I like Ed's discussion on old performance ignition. It's a less known fact that many performance distributors use chevy ford and chrystler tune up parts. My older Accel dual point uses chrystler cap&rotor with two ford points for single point system. My Napa Echlin dual point takes 55 chevy cap&rotor and two of the later GM points that have screw adjustment. One of my mallory distributors takes a flathead ford flat crab style cap. You can also find Accel points with a 32 ounce spring in most model points and they claim to help get you a few more RPM from preventing points bounce.

I really appreciate that Ed says a few times "I don't know" I have a lot more faith in what he says because of that. Thank you for the info and the tips, especially about the FE distributor jumping spark and he Holley accelerator pump adjustment.
