It's The Same Suit! The Patterson/Gimlin Film Is A Hoax!

In 1979 just one month after the announcement of his retirement, Peter Byrne wrote to advise Sydney Anderson that his examination of the Patterson film not only showed it to be a hoax, but that the version Patterson promoted was not quite as original as billed. Byrne said Patterson and company had made one version as a test, and then made an improved version for public consumption. The cowboys had “carefully viewed” the original for flaws and then “remade” a second version at Bluff Creek on October 20, 1967.” He also warned Anderson about Patterson and Gimlin. They had, he said, run afoul of the law in the past. This private correspondence never made it to the open. Not wanting anything to do with the monster hunters, Anderson just put the letters with the explosive accusations in his file and forgot about them. Byrne soon dropped such accusations. great interview, more details emerging every day. One point might need clarification: they spring a little 'gotcha' on Munns, saying they have some footage for him to view. He mentions is it possibly this or that, and they apparently say 'no, its not any footage you've seen'. Well he hasn't seen any of those possible candidates, nobody has seen any of them. So how do we know this new footage isn't indeed one of them? Bob H. has always said he was filmed - maybe this is it. He denies he's in this costume, but he has to deny. He cant claim to be in both the PGF and this footage since he's said he was only filmed once. He does walk like Patty, we all know that based on his street clothes comparison footage. How does At DeAtley (supposedly in the suit) get the walk down perfect, and then so does Bob H. 8-12 months later? And why the 8-12 month delay from trial run to PGF? That's a lot of 'perfecting' the suit time dont you think? The problem is the suit and feet matching perfectly of course. As for that I'd use a quote from Reagan: "Trust but Verify". Lets have the reel re-scanned and digitized.

First time watching this channel a few days ago and nice to see Eric from "HarryManRoad" being interviewed! The discussion of this documentary between the two of you really brought the hoax into light with all the puzzle pieces being put into place. You're both right! Patty is only supposed to show up only once unless they were lucky enough to get another shot with the same kind of scenario with Bob Gimlin & Roger on horses with the same Patty a year apart. What are the odds?

    Explaining Patty's "walk:"
When I was a teenager, I volunteered for a program focused on at-risk kids and their families. So, we attended conferences for different types of programs that could be used in various outreach efforts. I attended some workshops on public speaking, puppets, magic shows and clowns. In fact, I ended up taking a few courses where I learned more about the "art" of being a performance clown. The program was able to buy some materials and create outfits for us. My outfit was blue and white; and, I even had a name (i.e., "Cool Clown" as I played the straight-shooting clown interacting with the other silly and not-so-bright clowns).

As part of the program, I would visit some of the local public schools and give a performance (usually for special scholastic weeks). I did a couple of puppet shows (for which I learned that a person's arm and hand can get EXTREMELY tired -- even cramp -- while doing puppets). I enjoyed being a clown more than anything else. My routine integrated some silly magic tricks and jokes too.

Part of my costume were these very large clown shoes. We had both cheap plastic shoes and large rubber shoes. We also had large "furry" shoes that were meant to look like funny animal feet. At the workshops, the teachers explained the importance of exaggerating moves. Instead of walking like a normal person with big feet, we should exaggerate our steps. Otherwise, we were just going to look like a person with large feet and, eventually, trip (if we weren't careful or became distracted). So, if I did a routine where I was going to run, I would lift my knees up and make my shoes come out in front of me. It was meant to look funny....clownish.....and it was.

However, if I didn't do that, I really would walk a lot like Patty. I would bring up my knees and my foot so that the front didn't scrape or tap the floor. I am over 6' tall; however, I was also thin and about 120-140 pounds around that time (high school weight). When I saw the P-G film during college, the first thing that I thought of was that "Patty" walked the way that I walked with those large clown shoes when I wasn't trying to comically exaggerate my walking or running. It's abnormal because people (and primates) don't walk that way. We walk "heel-to-toe" for a reason -- because we know our own feet and its safer than lifting them. However, when you're wearing abnormally-large shoes, you lift them in an unnatural way while you also try to walk in an natural way.

That's what I think we're seeing in the P-G film. It's a man trying to walk in large costume feet similar to how I walked in large clown shoes.

But to be honest until we all watch this documentary our selves! That will be the defining moment for everyone.

I like your channel dude. You have such a great delivery.

Cards on the table, I’m just disappointed you took this tack on the new footage. But I realise content producers are being put in an impossible position with this, having to choose one side of the other with next to nothing to go on.

Eric really cannot say it’s the exact same suit. We have no suit to compare. He’s coming out with an absolute, when he saw this 40 second clip only once, ten days before. I wish you had pressed him about that.

Also, how he came to be there and how he was treated while there by the director really sets up a situation where he could be exploited for favourable publicity. No shade on Eric at all, but I think the film makers used him a bit.
