  As a child living in Poland, I liked that soup called "czernina" made with duck's blood. That was until my mom told me what was in the soup. Never touched it after that! No wonder the Poles are indestructible people. You have to have balls of steel for that food.

  Kaszanka often has pieces of liver in it, together with barley or buckwheat. Amazing with caramelized onions and/or mustard. Your taste buds were right.

  I would try czarnina is just Im not fun of vinegar I love duck meat.BBQ pork knuckle looks good.

  Czarnina hmmm Historically, blood soup was served to a person who had been rejected as a suitor for marriage. Then you know, it was an inedible soup and offemsive for man who was not welcome as doughter proposal.<br>From golonka I make a soup, very long boiled and its fantastic.
