Responding to Calvinist Arguments for Limited Atonement | Mike Winger

Subscribers have insisted that I approach Mike Winger's stance against Calvinism, and I've "chosen" to take a look at his arguments against limited atonement. The important thing to take away from Calvinism is God's sovereignty and the doctrines of grace. We are dead in our sins and trespasses, and must be made alive in Christ, or in other words "Born Again", in the words of Jesus Himself, because he who commits sin is a slave to sin and he must be set free by Christ. This setting free, becoming born again, also carries with it the gift of faith which is how we are justified before God. It is a gift directly from God that is confidence that Christ has atoned for your sins by his sacrifice. He had to do this for you on purpose because you were dead in your sins, if you could simply repent and turn to God, then you would not need a savior.
