He is describing me, 67 years old, worked since I was 12, retired at 63.5 and worked part time, then had a heart attack! Worked on myself for 3 years, lost 50 pounds, watch what I eat, gym and pray time! Still working part time, social security is not enough these days as none of my jobs offered retirement. 1. Invest in your physcial and mental health, always! 2. Enjoy your life! 3. Spend time with those you love.

I recently lost a lof of stuff and a lot of income.  Had I not saved for the last 3 years, I would not have had a backup fund in place to survive. Anyone that says don't save money is lying to you. They're trying to get you to mess up your life. Saving money is always a good idea, and I have living proof for that.

If your healthy, your wealthy, and time is your most valuable asset. Ask anybody very old or unhealthy and I bet they would say they would trade all the money in the world to be young and healthy again. Young people take note please.

This is all good, but i have a friend that overthaugt and save everything and sacrifice life experience, too expensive to go on vacation, too much to go to restaurant, yet he died of cancer…all he did was work 60 plus hours a week. You have to find balance.

As a boomer (and one who has spent most of his life on the dole), here's one piece of advice that's served me well: live as frugally as you can so you can afford to buy your own home. Then keep living frugally until the mortgage is paid off. It may not be exciting, but it's one of the best financial decisions you can make.
