Hearing how the dragons Vhagar, Caraxys, and Melys used to belong to such close siblings makes the dance all the sadder.

The Reign of King Jaehaerys is like, the dream of any Monarch, or even peasant. Granted, there's a few tragedies involved, in regards to personal family matters. But politically, handled like a champ.

I would honestly love for House of the Dragon to spawn spinoffs about the reigns of various notable Targaryen kings that would be awesome

So far, I love the first season of house of the dragon, but I truly think they should’ve started with Aeagon’s conquest then did a time jump to House of the Dragon

Daemon was ready to start a war for viserys. Not making daemon his hand was the first terrible decision viserys made

High praise to this video… this being over an hour I’m sure it can’t be easy…. The realm owes you a debt that can never be payed… keep the great videos coming

alyssa saying that about being "made for" childbirth and then dying because of it shortly after is so fucked. george really leaned heavy on the horror of the targ dynasty even at its most surface-level floweryness

I saw someone say Viserys messed up when he didn’t appoint Daemon as his hand. Hindsight is 20/20. You have to think about why Viserys kept Otto as his hand. Westeros loved Jaehaerys, so imagine how much trust and respect he would’ve lost if he removed the man his father trusted so much. Viserys made the right decision in that moment to make sure the realm stayed at peace.

In the future years i really wanna see a prequel "Westeros" with Aegon The Conqueror Aenys Maegor and Jaeharys and a prequel with Doom of Valyria just to see how the valeryons and targaryens rised from the most unpopular families to the strongest

It’s amazing how much george wrote about this period. Like House of the dragon, the reign of Jaehaerys would make for excellent Television! Could begin with the ascension of Aenys, the usurping by Maegor, then end with the great council, maybe even with future return of Paddy, Eve, Steve, Matt and Sian, as Corlys, Rhaenys and Viserys, Daemon and Aemma.

“In truth we will never really know what happened”…..unless George writes or tells us about it lol I truly love how we are all so deeply entrenched in this world and lore to the point that it really is an actual alternate reality/universe to us.
