  They are called Velvet worms (Onychophora). the genus is over 500 million years old. &nbsp;The goo is for both defense AND predation. They also spray this goo when stressed. They are found in the tropics and Southern Hemisphere.<br><br>They hunt using the goo but also the a hook that releases a venom to paralyze their prey.<br> For anyone who wants the name and a lil extra info.

The first family, Peripatidae, are longer than the other family, with more legs and mostly producing young through live birth.

  Slime mold isnt dangerous at all, it feeds on bacteria and corpses of other living things. And its lowk pretty interesting seeing them eat.
