If a voice could have made a grown man cry, it would be Karen Carpenters's voice, a voice like an angel and a voice not to be forgotten.

Not sure how to feel watching this now in 2024.  On one hand I'm happy to  have found such a wonderful Christmas program.  On the other hand I'm sad that programs like this one are no longer made and I miss the times when Christmas was cherished by everyone.  Nowadays it seems like everyone wants it done and overwith as quickly as possible.

To anyone born after 1990 this probably seems really hard to believe, but back during the heyday of the big network's Christmas specials (1960-1985 roughly), these were must-see-TV events that kids and adults alike waited for with great anticipation.  EVERYONE watched them.

What a blessing to see this wholesome show! May America come back to this reality again before it’s too far gone.

We need this type of quality on TV again! Get rid of the garbage that is on there now in 2025! Thank God we can relive these beautiful moments again on You Tube!

It wouldn't be Christmas without a little Perry.  I miss him so much.  He was such a gentleman with so much talent.  Those really were the days.

This is what I grew up with, along with Lawrence Welk, Mitch Miller, Ed Sullivan, and Dean Martin. I miss them 😔
