Anyone offering these deals, needs to be charged with aiding & abetting future crimes, within the timespan the sentence should have covered. That'll fix that.

What is worse than an abuser who hides and blames his alcohol and drugs? A system that allows the same abuser out to do it all over again, just like a relapse; every time it happens…. It only gets worse.

"Great deal of mercy towards you for assaulting two police officers." Another judge who focuses on the defendant and not on keeping the public safe. One dismissed charge and other sentences to be served concurrently. If he's not already out he soon will be and his wife and kids should run and hide.

Glad he got prison; that's the only time his wife and children can be safe from him.  But giving him concurrrent sentences is a big "tap on the wrist" for him.  Shows him he got by with his violence again.  He has no incentive to ever change his behavior.

So once again he will be out in a few months and looking to pay back his wife for speaking out.  The Court will not ACTUALLY punish him in any meaningful way until he kills her!
