  in the cast of black Friday&apos;s defense they were actually all just sick for most of it. Which is why lots of the vocals are off. Jon Mattson talked about it during his rewatch of the show.

  You’re so right about Jon Matteson being the main character of the trilogy. He really does something special in each show, bringing something that only he could bring to the table

  The defining part in NPMD was not only &quot;You are replacable&quot;, but &quot;You are replacable LIKE ME&quot;. <br>When he sings &quot;Who will pray for me?&quot;, he does actually mean himself. How he felt loved for the first time and immediately is betrayed again. How Richie just accepted himself as not being a loser, and loses everything right after. Like Max did. <br>The turning point of the song is right before Max sings &quot;Who will pray for YOU?&quot; for the first time. When his grief turns into rage for good.

  TGWDLM has a special place in my heart bc the idea of having all of the songs in the show be diagetic, and that’s part of the horror. It’s so fun

  Starkid is just masterful at giving you emotional whiplash. From funny to absolutely heartbreaking, then straight back to funny again. It’s amazing. They first did it perfectly in Twisted (Jafar’s “Okay Jesus Christ” after Aladdin’s backstory monologue) but somehow they just get better and better at doing it in the Hachetfield saga
