  Almost 10 years ago before I knew any history of the Superstitions, I climbed up to the Flat Iron. I saw dozens of hikers up the entire trail, but once I reached the vast ledge area to rest, I noticed I was completely alone. I remember eating my beef jerky and it feeling so eerily quiet and a sense that someone would come up on me as soon as I turned around. I was very uncomfortable but I focused more on the reward of the view. Mind you, I’m standing just yards away from a 2000’ cliff so the intrusive thoughts were definitely there. But I remember how overwhelming it was, especially for me not being bothered by heights. I never really thought about it until now, but it makes me wonder—as soon as I dropped 100’ feet back onto the trail, I remember dozens of people hiking by me again like previous, all 4 or 5 miles back to my truck. Never felt that way on any other hikes.

  My favorite part is Mary being way more chill than the boys. They freak out with all the sounds and Mary just kind of minimally reacts.

  I lived in Arizona as a missionary for 2 years. I’ve heard wild stories about the Superstition Mountains from people who live in Florence

  Got really concerned at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELbrQbWDAl8&amp;t=6780">1:53:00</a> is when i noticed it. All the wildlife fell silent, literally 10 minutes before the frogs were croaking and the bugs singing then all of a sudden silence. Means there&apos;s something big in the area or a predator. Be careful out there and always carry. Not only do these things exist but we must not forget about the wildlife thats just as dangerous as this stuff. Im loving these vids on haunted land scapes keep it up!

  Old family friends had property at the base of that place. I helped them move to and fro every season from their Colorado home to their Apache Junction home. A strange and mysterious land. I always thought that mountain looked like a gigantic old world melted castle. I&apos;d have to sleep with a fan on high to drown out the noises going on under the ground. Saw some weird things out there and I am grateful I don&apos;t have to go out there anymore since the old folks have passed on to the next realm.<br>Whenever nature becomes silent you know there&apos;s a predator nearby. And I can tell you first hand from personal encounters they&apos;re terrifying majestic creatures most folks just can&apos;t believe actually exist.<br>Glad y&apos;all made it out safe and sound from your adventure. Cory is a wise man to have survived in that climate for so long.<br>Stay spooky fam and listen to your gut as it&apos;s directly connected to your brain.<br>Thanks for sharing your mad editing and filming skills Colin and congrats on your million plus subs ❤
