This is the first football game that debuted the Big Ten Network in 2007.

When App State won this game, the campus library got an influx of calls for merch requests and holds. A percentage of the calls, none other than Ohio fans 😅

Back when the NCAA wasn't fully rigged with legalized sports betting.

App State was pretty much a dynasty at that point. They went into that game as back-to-back FCS national champs and would cap off that season with another title.

I went to a Division III college. One of my dorm mates was HUGE Michigan fan, and hung a Michigan flag in his dorm room. When this happened, we (his friends and my friends and I) all pitched in to buy an Appalachian State flag, which we then hung over his Michigan Flag. I wasn't there to see his reaction, but I'm told that it broke him.

Well, this USED TO BE the most embarrassing moment in Michigan Football history...until last night on September 5th, 2026. It literally would have been less embarrassing if they'd lost the 2026 season opener to WMU and taken their lumps for it. But instead they "won" the game with some fairly questionable help from the officials - and actually had the audacity to storm the field in celebration afterwards.

Ah yes, a much better quality version of the starting upset of 2007. What a year of CFB that was!

This was the one thing that could bring Ohio State, Michigan State, and Penn State fans together in celebration. 😂

I was there. Drove up from Iowa just for the game, by myself. My second ever game at The Big House as a Michigan fan. That was a loooonnnngg drive back

This upset was so powerful that ESPN did a 30 for 30 on it. 😮
