  When I was 11 me and my friends (also 11) were playing music and this song came on. They asked me if I knew what a disco stick was, and I imagined it was like one of those bendy glowing sticks you&apos;d get at the school disco and they laughed at me. They didn&apos;t tell me what it actually meant and just kept joking about how I was the last innocent one of the group. I realised later that night when I looked up the lyrics online. That memory still stands out in my mind so clearly 13 years later. This song weirdly represents that bridge between late childhood and very early adolescence to me.
